100th Anniversary

Calling all students, former students, graduates, staff, alumni staff and community members . . .

Uxbridge Secondary School is celebrating its 100th Anniversary, this spring, with a Reunion on Friday, May 26th, Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th, 2023.

Join family, friends and reconnect with past acquaintances. Highlights include Decade Rooms, a Remembrance Room and School Tours. Saturday will feature a Family & Friends Breakfast by Culinary Arts followed by the Official Anniversary Ceremony, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Old Gym featuring voices from the past,  current student drama, dance, and music. Student performances will delight in the afternoon for some while a golf tournament will challenge others. Top Saturday off with the 19+, Saturday Evening Social!

Other highlights include guided walks on the Uxbridge Trails, a Friday night Karaoke Meet-up at the Legion, a non-denominational, Christian Service on Sunday morning, as well as, many more surprises. There is something for every member of the family.

Be part of a LEGACY. Donations will create three Commencement Awards (Apprenticeship, College and University) to be presented to future graduates each year for the next 100 years. This takes a community to achieve. Whether you plan to be present all Reunion weekend or you live half way across the globe, everyone can donate. Consider how you can contribute and be part of the legacy reaching to 2123!

Do I have to pay for a Registration to attend?

There are many events and activities which are free including the Decade Rooms, the Official Ceremony, School Tours, Community Tours, Guided Trail Walks, the Sunday Service and more. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Registering for the Reunion supports all of these events and will provide you with a Reunion Name Tag with souvenir lanyard, pen, sticker, bag as well as a printed program. Registration is required to purchase tickets for the Family & Friends Breakfast and to play in the Reunion Golf Tournament. The 19+ Saturday Night Social has an entrance charge but does not require registration although it is always encouraged. The good news is that any unused funds from the Reunion operations will be donated to the Legacy Award! See you at the Reunion!

See the information below for more details together with the links to pay for events or donate to the Legacy Award.

*Registration may be made in person between 7 am and 2 pm, Monday to Friday, at the Uxbridge Secondary School Main Office.

Legacy Award

Make your ROAR heard for the next 100 years! For this 100th Anniversary, we would like to leave a LEGACY. The goal of the 100th Anniversary Reunion Commencement Award or the Legacy Award is to raise enough money to support three (3) Commencement Awards to be awarded for the next 100 years!  One award would be conferred to a student proceeding to an apprenticeship or equivalent. One award is designated for a student proceeding to college or equivalent. One award would be presented to a student proceeding to university or equivalent. Awards will increase in value every 10 years to reflect the value of the dollar. Only a community can make THIS happen!

Imagine being part of an initiative supporting students until 2122 and beyond! In 100 years, this will touch 300 students. While the criteria for the awards will be developed collaboratively with USS, the Award recipients must have contributed to the Uxbridge Community (either the school community or the township community). The great news is that if you, your family or your business are in a position to donate to the Legacy Award, you can do so as a gift, in honour of someone or in memory of someone.

All donations are greatly appreciated and every little bit helps! Those donations of $20 or more will receive a donation receipt for tax purposes emailed directly to you when donations are made using the link provided.

For those who are able to consider a gift in one of the categories below, we thank you for your generosity and the Planning Committee will arrange recognition as outlined.
